Perhaps you have presets you like, but find yourself changing them so much that your images lose their connection. Perhaps you can describe the work you admire, but struggle to translate those preferences into your own photographs.

This session is for photographers who want a more considered approach to editing: a clear direction, tools suited to their work, and the understanding to use them well.

We can work on the details that matter to you—skin tones, greens, contrast, depth, black-and-white treatment, or the relationship between your digital images and film references—without losing what already makes your photography your own.

One personal experience, from direction to refinement

A review of your work and references

Before our first working call, I review your questionnaire, current editing approach, style references, and a selection of up to 30 photographs. This helps me understand both the look you want and the situations you find difficult.

A one-hour style consultation

We discuss your preferences, look at what is and isn’t working, and agree on a direction for development. You can bring specific questions or areas you would like help understanding.

Custom presets developed for your photographs

I develop a preset collection around our agreed direction, with variations where they are useful. Where a custom profile supports the result, I include it as part of that approach. The focus is on a coherent set of tools you understand and will use.

Time to test the first collection

Try the tools on your own photographs and gather your questions. You have 14 days after receiving the initial collection to send one consolidated feedback message, including example images where helpful.

A one-hour refinement call

We review your experience, work through the questions that came up, and identify the adjustments needed. I also guide you through applying the tools and adapting the edit when lighting changes.

Your refined collection and usage notes

I complete one refinement round based on your consolidated feedback and our second call, then deliver the updated files with brief written guidance. Seven days of email support for installation and use of the delivered tools are included after final delivery.

How we’ll work together

Inquire and meet

Tell me a little about your photography and what you would like to work on. We begin with a complimentary discovery call to discuss fit and availability. This is separate from your two working calls.

Book and prepare

Once we’ve agreed on the scope and timing, I’ll send the booking details, service agreement, questionnaire, and instructions for preparing your images and references.

Establish your direction

Our first one-hour call gives us a shared understanding of the look we are developing. I then refine and test the collection on your submitted photographs.

Test and refine

You try the tools, send your feedback, and join me for the second one-hour call. I complete the agreed refinements and send your final collection and notes.

We agree on the project schedule before booking, including development time and the two calls. Your testing period forms part of that schedule; submitting materials or feedback late may require us to revise the dates.

I’m Martina, a private photo editor based in Italy. My experience includes more than 1,000 wedding catalogs, with a particular interest in color, consistency, and film-inspired editing.

Working across entire weddings has taught me to consider how an edit holds together beyond a single photograph: through changing light, different locations, and the small decisions that shape a gallery.

In these sessions, I bring that experience to your work. I listen carefully to what you like, help you understand the choices behind it, and develop tools that support your direction.

Frequently asked questions

  • You don’t need all the answers before we begin. Bring examples of your own work, references you are drawn to, and anything you find difficult to describe. Part of our work together is identifying the specific qualities you want to develop. We agree on one direction before custom development begins.

  • Yes. We can explore the color, contrast, and tonal qualities you enjoy in film and consider how to interpret them in your digital photographs. The result will also depend on the original image, lighting, exposure, and references; an exact match is not possible in every situation.

  • No preset can make every lighting condition behave the same way. Your collection is designed to give you a useful, consistent starting point. We also work on understanding the exposure, white balance, and individual adjustments that help you carry the style through different images.

  • I’ll send a questionnaire and preparation guide after booking. You’ll provide up to 30 representative photographs, examples of your current edits, and references that help communicate your preferences. Include a mixture of images you enjoy editing and situations you find challenging. I’ll confirm file requirements before you submit them.

  • You’ll have 14 days to test the initial collection and send one consolidated feedback message. We discuss that feedback during our second one-hour call, and I complete one refinement round within the agreed direction. Additional rounds or a substantially different direction can be quoted separately before further work begins. Any error in the delivered files will be corrected without an additional charge.

  • We agree on the schedule before you book. It includes preparation, two working calls, development time, and your testing period. Please inquire for current availability rather than assuming an immediate start.

  • No. This experience focuses on your editing direction, custom tools, and how to use them. Full catalog editing and Anchor Image Creation for individual catalogs are separate services.

  • Yes. You do not need to be a catalog-editing client to book a Signature Style Session. The aim is to help you understand and use your own editing approach more confidently.

  • Absolutely. I recommend reviewing your approach every year or two, or whenever your preferences or working methods change. Returning sessions give us space for new references, questions, and updates to your editing tools. Contact me to discuss whether you need a full session or a smaller, separately quoted refinement.

  • The session focuses on your Lightroom editing workflow. Please include your Lightroom version and any other software you rely on when you inquire, so I can confirm suitability before you book.
